Staying hydrated in the summer is super important. We all know this so why do we need reminders? There are the usual excuses from I forgot to I did not realise I was thirsty to water tastes bland. Water tastes bland? Okay, so spice it up! There are so many flavour options out there to play with so I will be adding a couple to Hold the Moo. The first is with lemon, Granny Smith Apple, ginger and elderberry syrup and of course water. I love coming home to this mix and having a tall cool glass to refresh me after work. Dubai is experiencing very hot and dry weather at the moment so I need as much hydration as I can get.
Recipe – per serving of 250ml
2 thin slices fresh ginger
2 thin slices Granny Smith Apple (or any tart green apple)
2 thin slices lemon
1 tsp elderberry syrup (or sugar syrup)
250 ml fresh water
Bring it all together in a glass jar and give a quick shake. I would keep it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavours to infuse. Enjoy!
