I first discovered rosemary ice tea, or lemonade which ever you prefer, while I was on holiday in Canada. I had my first sip of this amazing drink at the lovely Esther & Sons Cafe in Kelowna, BC. One sip and I was hooked. Seeing as Kelowna is a bit far from Dubai I knew I needed to find a way to replicate (or at least try) this drink. So here you have it.
Recipe
500 ml boiling water
1- 2 teabags, black tea
1/4 lemon, juiced
1.5 tbsp honey
2 sprigs rosemary
Steep the tea for 5 minutes. If you have a tea egg just fill one egg. Remove the tea bags/egg and mix in the lemon juice, honey and rosemary sprigs. Stir and then let cool down in the fridge.
Once it has completely cooled and you want to serve just strain it and serve with a sprig of fresh rosemary or lemon slice. Yummy and refreshing!
